Natural History Documentary Productions

Baja Quest specializes in providing logistical support to natural history documentary productions of the Sea of Cortez and Baja Peninsula. Our staff is composed of multilingual naturalists, instructors and local people who are very knowledgeable of the area's climate and biodiversity.

We believe that environmental education of people is necessary for the conservation of our natural resources. Film and TV media have a strong impact over adults and children's perception of the oceans and the importance of caring for it.

Baja Quest has participated since our beginning in business (1996) in providing logistical support to many documentaries such as:

Grey, Blue and Humpback whales of Baja California Sur, NHK Productions, Japan. February 2001. 'Hammerhead sharks of El Bajo' Shark Gordon series. Natural History New Zealand Ltd. La Paz, B.C.S.
October 2000. 'The man eating Humbolt squid', KONOS Society Productions, July 2000, La Paz, B.C.S. To be broadcasted by BBC on June 2001.
The sinking of the FangMing and Lapas03, Televisa S.A. Mexico. Live-on site nation-wide broadcasting of the first artificial reef creation in Mexico (November 1999).
